Dan Lousier

Dan Lousier is a well-known editor and project manager who has been writing and reporting on natural resource management studies for the past 35 years. He is an ecologist who has spent his professional life studying various components of forest ecosystems in British Columbia and Alberta.  His studies have ranged from those associated with microscopic organisms which thrive in forest soils to those which deal with the habitats of the larger animals which live in various types of forested habitats.  The range of studies in which he has been involved has given him a unique “tree-roots” perspective of the many components of a forest ecosystem.  In recent years, the breadth of his studies has grown to include those examining ecological agriculture, and community sustainability, health and well-being.

Dan brings a certain sensitivity to his work environment and his projects.  He understands the fundamentals of successful public communication, and has the ability to articulate complex issues and plans in a manner that resonates with the public domain, while also meeting the internal needs of the client.  Dan continually demonstrates an ability to add value and impact to the product and to the client organisation.

Dan possesses an ability to understand and respond effectively to people from diverse backgrounds.  He takes the time to ensure that he has an accurate understanding of the issues and needs, including grasping and responding effectively to spoken and unspoken or partly expressed thoughts, feelings and concerns of others.
